Reviews and Ratings
The hotel provides beautiful rooms, but they can be a little noisy at times. Overall, the rooms are spotless, and I felt safe in all areas of the hotel. However, the shower wasn't up to scratch, requiring some cleaning due to black grout, which wasn't pleasant to see. Despite this, the location is exceptional, situated on the seafront with stunning views of Arran. The service was excellent with a very attentive and friendly staff. The dining experience was mostly delightful with a good variety of options, although some dishes were only warm. The facilities were well-maintained and enjoyable.
The hotel had well-thought-out, clean, and welcoming rooms with a side sea view. The service was excellent, reminiscent of a visit to the past, and the staff went the extra mile when needed. The location was right on the seafront, offering beautiful views but lacking some comforts like canopies and patio heaters. The dining experience was friendly but had some delays and temperature issues with the food. Overall, a good stay with room for minor improvements.
It was our 3rd visit to the hotel, and while the sea view was a bit disappointing as it was narrow between buildings and a car park, the view of Arran with snow-capped hills was spectacular. The room was very warm despite no heating, and we had to keep the window open.
The hotel offers a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were suitable for my special needs, but the dark colors made them feel a bit gloomy, and the lack of privacy due to facing the mini road was inconvenient. The service was top-notch, with friendly and understanding staff willing to go the extra mile. The location was lovely, right on the beach offering fantastic views, although there was some inconvenience due to nearby construction. The dining experience was mostly delightful, with a good selection of tasty dishes, though a slight letdown with some items not meeting expectations.
